Course Description

The aim of this course is to understand the basic principles of Ayurveda and to learn to master the Ayurvedic massage technique. In this course there will be an emphasis on the self-awareness of the practitioner, of his or her personal body posture, and emotional and mental awareness during treatments.

We will also discuss providing a safe atmosphere for the patient's internal process, cleaning of the practitioner's personal energy system as well as the workroom.

Presenter Bio 

Umberto Grippo is an Italian National, living in Auroville since 1996.  He has been working with Ayurvedic massage since that time and teaching for 7 years.  He was trained by Govinda, a master in massage, who lives in the Gandhi Ashram in Maharastra.  Umberto is concerned with teaching an integral method and not only the technique of movements.  Re-connecting with the Mother in 1996 provoked a intense life changing experience, and the bases of connecting with the Grace daily, in personal, relational and professional life.
