Tewa
Course description
Compassionate Communication is a 4-step process, (developed by Marshall Rosenberg PhD) that can support us in cultivating a heart-connection and in living compassionately, while both joyfully giving and receiving more of what we truly want.
Through a combination of didactic teaching segments, interactive exercises, group sharing and other activities you will:
** Learn to distinguish between Assumptions/Evaluations and Observations, Thoughts and Feelings, Strategies and Needs/Values, Demands and Requests.
** Learn and practice expressing yourself clearly and powerfully without using blame or judgment.
** Learn and practice Empathic Listening and Self-Empathy
** Gain awareness of the ways people sometimes speak that stimulate pain and disconnection and understand what is behind their words.
** Become more empowered by being aware of your feelings and finding ways to meet your needs.
** Learn to Ask for that which you want in ways the other can more easily hear.
** Learn ways to Choose your Responses vs. Reacting habitually.
=== You can work with, and bring clarity to, real-life situations that have not been easy or enjoyable for you....feel free to change names and details.

Presenter Bio
I live in Auroville with my husband and 2 children and I am passionate about co-creating a world where compassion matters, where everyone's needs are held caringly and where the potential for peace and transformation is actively manifested.
Nonviolent Communication has provided me a tool to help realize this dream and I love sharing the practice with others who share my passion.
I have been studying, practicing and teaching NVC for over 5 years. I facilitate weekend workshops and 10-week trainings and do individual and couples counseling with NVC. My two children, aged 8 and 13, are some of my most profound teachers on this journey of compassion!
